Agricultural and Forest Sector Economics
Integrated Agricultural and Forest Sector Analysis uses bottom-up, partial equilibrium analysis to quantify the impacts of land use decisions at various scales on agricultural commodity markets, societal development objectives, and environmental quality.
Agricultural sector assessments use mathematical programming models to jointly depict the heterogeneity of natural resources and production technologies and the complexity of internationally linked commodity markets. Previous studies have quantified agricultural abatement functions for greenhouse gas emissions and pesticide damages. Recent studies focus on agricultural impacts and adaptation options to climate variability and on quantifying climate land use feedbacks.
