Outreach

The research unit Sustainability and Global Change offers services to all segments of society. We actively participate at the University of Hamburg Center for a Sustainable University. We host, supervise, and teach Bachelor, Master, and PhD students who are interested in the integrated assessment of climate change and land use. We actively collaborate with other scientists at local, national, and international levels. Major research results are presented at conferences and published in peer-reviewed scientific journals. We regularly summarize our research to the general public through newspaper articles, participation at public lectures and societal events (e.g. science night, church congresses), and other media outlets. We have contributed to the latest IPCC report in terms of a Lead Author function (HH) on mitigating global warming (AR5, WGIII, Ch2).
