Research
The Unit’s current long-term research foci are the economics of climate change and the economics of agricultural externalities. In this regard, creating transparency on the synergies and trade-offs between various sustainability goals and further societal goals is key. This includes alternative ethical framings for decision-making under heterogeneous uncertainty.
Recently, the FNU has also begun pursuing fundamental research at the academia-society interface regarding both the potential future roles and the limitations of the university in connection with society’s sustainable development.
